In love with the Kuretake Brushpen white

Or: An accurate description what’s going on inside the head of an artist after receiving new art supplies.

My friend ( and Nette Palette partner in crime ) Sophie went on vacation to Porto and she came home with an Kuretake Brushpen in white. I believe it’s no secret I am a big sucker for any art materials. I was trying to get my hands on this pen for a long time…and then, there it was!

Of course I immediately had to try it out. So I got my black Sakura sketchbook out, which I haven’t used in a very long time. Such a shame, because it’s also so cool. But the combination of these two is just insane.

My little try out ended up in almost filling the whole sketchbook, haha. The pen has a a flexible brush tip, the ink dries quickly and you can layer it to give it more opaqueness. With the flexible brush you can easily make thin and thick lines. For me it was really nice to use it for letterings with bold strokes and also use it for little illustrations and small sketches.

I wish the company paid me to write this advertorial, which isn’t one. So just that you know. But when I am excited, I am excited. You can also look at the sketches and be convinced that way. Anyways, have a nice day!

Oh look! I even made a small video about the pages I filled with the Kuretake Brushpen white. Check it out on my YouTube:
