So last year was an intense year, because I was working on a book! Yes, a real published book, with 144 pages and a whole lot of ideas and inspiration in it. The book was published end of may 2024 in german and it’s called “Stempel selber machen” which basically translates to “DIY stampmaking” ( more or less ).

It covers all my experience in blockprinting up to date, which I want to share with you. So you can read about how I make stamps, from which materials I use, to transferring the template to your block and to ( very important! ) what you can make with your brand new stamp. The project part is the biggest part of the book. I included 16 crafting projects with step by step pictures and explanations. If you thought about starting to make stamps, this is your book.

Luckily I could not only make up the project ideas, design the stamps and make all the photographs ( except the portraits, they are of course made by my friend Andrea ), I could also design the entire book. Only the cover was designed by the publishing house. As a communication designer that made me very very happy. Because quite frankly, I had a hard time to put in a lot of work and then I would risk it to be pressed in a layout which wasn’t me at all. Well, sometimes you gotta trust the process.
