I started with this ongoing series in autumn 2021. Having discovered the extraordinary combination of gouache and toned paper, I started painting letters and words that resonated with me at that particular day. “Ohne Bäume keine Träume” ( no trees, no dreams ) was painted on the day of the global climate demo in autumn 2021. “Hope” in the colors of the ukrainian flag obviously refers to the war that russia started in march 2022, so does ” Die Gleichzeitigkeit der Dinge” ( the simultaneity of things ).

The majority of the paintings are painted with gouache. I occasionally added colored or pastel pencils and fineliner and also watercolor.
